Pretty Little Liars is an American television drama series, which premiered on ABC Family on June 8, 2010. Created by Marlene King, the series is based on the Pretty Little Liars book series by Sara Shepard. After an initial order of 10 episodes, on June 28, 2010 ABC Family ordered an additional 12 episodes for season one, bringing the total episode order to 22.
